Last year, our 4-lug group buy was a massive success! Since then, many of you have been requesting another production run of our flatter 17x8” ET25 and concave 17x8.5” ET20 wheels. With your help, we can easily do another production run.
We do have minimum production numbers that need to be met for each size before we can move forward with production. We are happy to stock additional units, but we will need at least half of the production run to be pre-sold before we can commit to bringing them back. Because of the small production runs, we will only produce both sizes if there is demand, and will likely produce only the two most popular finishes. When joining you’ll be asked to select optional backup finishes and a backup size in case your first choice is unavailable. Not selecting a backup means we’ll automatically cancel your order if your size or finish is not produced.

This fitment is a direct bolt-on with 215/40-17 tires and is for customers looking for a “ready to go” fitment. Customers wanting to run a more aggressive tire can go with a 235/40-17, but negative camber will be required up front and a fender roll in the rear to fit properly.
This fitment is an aggressive concave fitment, and will require a 5mm spacer up front in order to clear OEM brakes (and most aftermarket BBK’). In addition, quite a bit of negative camber will be required front and rear in order to avoid hitting your fenders. A 215/40-17 tire is recommended for an easier, fit. However, a 235/40-17 tire can also be used, but fender flares are recommended.This fitment is very aggressive and not recommended for customers wanting a direct fit.
*This fitment will require at least -1.5+ degrees of negative camber up front, and -2+ degrees of negative camber in the rear.
*215/40-17 tires can be used with at least -2+ and -2.5+ degrees of camber respectively.

The ARC-8 wheels available in this Group Buy feature both our flat faced and concave face profile. Face profile is dependent on fitment selected, and the concave option may require modifications to your car to fit properly.
More than just a pretty face
The spokes of the ARC-8 were designed to be robust where they need to be, and extra lightweight where they should be. In each iteration of our ARC-8 design, the split "Y" spokes are carefully evaluated from structural aspects to ensure light weight and remarkable strength. The lack of a deep front lip, but instead spokes that connect directly to the barrel's lip, creates a rigid wheel with incredibly even load distribution. These features help reduce one of the most common concerns with aftermarket wheels — bending. Beauty follows function with this extremely popular and timeless design.
Form follows function
Race wheels can't just be light, they need to function in a high performance environment. Unlike the narrow lug recesses of most other wheels, the ARC-8 wheel features a wide open hub center that easily accommodate over-sized race lugs and beefy impact sockets. This allows for quick and easy wheel changes and prevents chips and scratches from tools.
No rings or adapters here
Our APEX ARC-8 wheels are purpose built for the E30 vehicle application, and centering rings are not required. The 4x100mm bolt pattern wheels feature a direct-fit, 57.1mm center bore.
A factory fit and finish
The ARC-8 wheels will ship with our redesigned Gloss Black center cap that mimics the size and shape of a BMW factory center cap.
Original or Aftermarket, it all works
The ARC-8 wheel can be used with all OEM and aftermarket mounting hardware with a 60° tapered seat. Lug bolts, wheel locks, and stud conversion kits all work perfectly.
Benefits of forging, without the pain
All APEX wheels, including the ARC-8 wheel, are produced using the Flow-Forming technique. This process significantly reduces weight in the barrel, which has the greatest impact on rotational mass. During the manufacturing process, rollers apply high pressure to the inner barrel, compressing the aluminum into it's final shape. This effectively eliminates porosity and aligns the grain structure of the metal, which increases tensile strength. The end result of the Flow-Forming process is a lightweight and extremely strong barrel that equals that of a traditional forged wheel at a fraction of the cost.
Testing & Certifications
We break a lot of wheels
Computer simulated stress tests are no match for real world testing when designing a light-weight wheel that will see extreme loads. All APEX wheels are crush and load tested to exceed JWL standards and those results are independently tested in Japan by the 3rd party government agency known as the VIA. Countless wheel companies falsely claim they are tested and certified by the VIA, and so they lack the certificates to prove it. We test and certify each and every design, diameter, width, and offset, separately. We publicly list all our VIA registration numbers which are on file with the VIA for confirmation. Don't trust brands that claim testing, but can't provide verifiable registration numbers.
Weight & Strength Optimization
It’s all in the details
Various design features were implemented to ensure that the ARC-8 wheel design was as light, but had even more strength to handle the abuses experienced in endurance racing. We began with a beefy, multi-spoke, one-piece design. We built and test this wheel with even higher load rating requirements. We added reliefs in the mounting pad to remove weight between lug holes, where we could safely save weight. The design was then run through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to further optimize the spoke and barrel design. The result is a lightweight wheel with extra strength in all the right places. Use the ARC-8 with confidence is over built for both street and track.
Because being faster is just not enough
The ARC-8 wheel is available in multiple finishes. All APEX wheels are finished using a comprehensive multi-stage liquid paint system over a powder coated base. Often overlooked, painted or powder coated lug hole seats can cause hardware to loosen or begin the spread of paint chipping to more visible sections. The coating process of the ARC-8 leaves lug holes, center bores, and mounting pads untouched which ensures proper fit and torque values.

All APEX wheels are backed by a 2 year structural warranty and a 1 year finish warranty to the original. This warranty guarantees that all APEX wheels will be free from defects in materials, workmanship, and paint finish under normal and reasonable use.
